Traversing The Long Road to Peace

Sept 1st 2006

A prelude to a series of activities, the peace camp, “Impressions of Conflict, Expressions of Peace” held in Rizal almost four months ago has laid the ground for a yet more exciting journey. A written report detailing the proceedings and specific goals of the camp has already been completed. The video documentary featuring the camp’s highlights is also in progress. This month marks the reunion of Peace Camp stakeholders and CFA partners, including the CBCP-Episcopal Commission on Inter-Religious Dialogue, Ramon Avancena High School and National Council of Churches in the Philippines.

The consultation meeting will focus on preparations for two main components of the peace project; the Traveling Exhibit and Speaker’s Bureau to be launched in October-November this year. The continuation of the three-year project is made possible through the sponsorship of Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst (Church Development Service or EED) of Germany.
