He Is The One

Today’s Readings: 2Kgs 5: 1-15/Lk 4: 24- 30

REFLECTION
Today, the prophets’ word have become true. Jesus had come to inaugurate a new age in which God becomes present and reconciles men. Thus the time of prophecies is over. God begins to show himself to humankind as he is. Jesus reveals the Father and the Father reveals his Son through the signs and miracles he performs.

The Old Testament announced Jesus as the Saviour of his people and of his race. His words and deeds were stirring people who had become helpless and are opening the way for a new human liberation.

Many times in our life, we are no less than the people of Jesus’ time- refusing to acknowledge him as the Son of the Father- sent to liberate and redeem us from all sorts of oppressions. Whenever we voluntarily refuse to open our hearts and minds to the teachings he admonishes us to do, we refuse to proclaim that indeed he is the “ One “ who was prophesied.

PRAYER
Loving Father, open our eyes and our hearts that we may proclaim Jesus as your Son as we live and abide with teachings he gives us. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Who We Are

Communication Foundation for Asia is a pioneer in development communication. It was established in 1968 as a non-stock, non-profit organization, but its origins go way back to 1960, when the Social Communications Center was born with the publication of the Philippine Catholic Digest. Both organizations were founded by the Dutch missionary, Fr Cornelio Lagerwey, MSC, in collaboration with his mission partner Genaro V. Ong.
