Our Mission

Today’s Readings: Gn. 41: 55-57 / Mt. 10: 1- 7
REFLECTION
Although they may not have been the best among his followers, Jesus sees on them a sincerity and authentic response to his call. They are the first of his laborers who will begin sowing the seeds of the good news and will be among the first to harvest the world’s field for God. Thus Jesus gives them authority.
In today’s Gospel, Jesus calls us to do the same. We are to be his partners in mission. With this status comes a great responsibility for the mission. All of us are called upon to offer our life for the sake of the kingdom.
We are called to get ourselves involved in the life and work of the Church.
We are to know and get acquainted with the most important needs of the Church. Love is the force, sustaining and enabling us to bring peace and joy in the world.
How then can we show our love for God, our brothers and sisters who has no voice for the mission of the Church?
PRAYER
Loving Father, thank you for calling us to share in the mission you entrusted to the Church. Make us responsive and responsible in answering the needs of the Church.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
