Peacebook Airs on TV Maria
The video documentary Peacebook, is being aired by TV Maria every Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00am and 4:00pm until May 17, 2012. This is the third Peace Camp video to be shown by TV Maria, which aired the two previous peace documentaries, “Dear Peace” and “Peace Trip”.
From different religions, schools and cities, 31 high school students from Notre Dame-RVM College of Cotabato in Mindanao, Ramon Avanceña High School and Nazarene Catholic School in Quiapo, Manila together created a shared peace camp diary called “Peacebook” which evolved into the video documentary of their pursuit for understanding, peace and unity.
Peacebook is the video chronicle of the third peace camp organized by the Communication Foundation for Asia (CFA): Communicating Peace: Celebrating Filipino Unity in Diversity. Using art, music, photography, theater arts and blogging, the Christian and Muslim camp participants convey their message that peace can be attained through cooperation, understanding and mutual respect.
The project was organized in cooperation with the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Inter-religious Dialogue and the Young Moro Professionals Network.
TV Maria is carried by several cable channels, including SkyCable Ch 160, Dream Satellite Ch. 12 , Global Destiny Ch. 94 and Unicable cebu Ch 17.
