Catechetical Resource Center

Catechetical Congress participants learning how to use alternative methods for evangelization.

At the core of the CFA mission for evangelization is still the commitment to catechesis. To lay the ground work for implementing its vision, the center is engaged in the following services:

  • Organizing and sponsoring catechetical conferences and seminar workshops to help in the catechists’s on-going formation and skills upgrading
  • Producing catechetical materials and other teaching aids for the use of the catechists
  • Promoting the use of modern technology to benefit and upgrade catechetical instructions
  • Assisting in the networking among catechists and aiming to broaden the exchange of successful programs and methods among them
  • Attending diocesan, regional, and national conferences and catechetical assemblies to further linkages and relationships in the catechetical ministry and to reach out to a greater number of catechists to identify projects that
    respond to their current needs.

The Catechetical Resource Center operates in coordination with the programs and activities of the Episcopal Commission on Catechesis and Catholic Education (ECCE).

Who We Are

Communication Foundation for Asia is a pioneer in development communication. It was established in 1968 as a non-stock, non-profit organization, but its origins go way back to 1960, when the Social Communications Center was born with the publication of the Philippine Catholic Digest. Both organizations were founded by the Dutch missionary, Fr Cornelio Lagerwey, MSC, in collaboration with his mission partner Genaro V. Ong.
