Facilities
Communication Foundation for Asia has essential facilities and equipment that may be used for electronic media production as well as for media training.

Audio/Video Studio This consists of a spacious carpeted radio barn and a director’s control room containing digital recording equipment. The studio can accommodate a large group for musical recording, film viewing, seminars and conferences. It also doubles as a TV studio and is capable of holding multiple set changes. TV commercials and various TV programs have been recorded here. For inquiries regarding studio use, please call the Electronic Media office at 713 2979. |

TV Studio This is a medium-sized TV barn with a director’s control room. It is equipped with two Sony digital videocams on tripod dollies and Anycast video switcher. The studio has a cyclorama and TV lights, and is ideal for TV talk shows and student productions. |

Recording Studio This small studio is equipped with analog and digital recording equipment for audio recording purposes. Drama productions, musical recording and scoring, radio commercial production and hands-on training workshops are also held here. |

Video Editing Studio The video editing studio is equipped with the latest Adobe Premiere Pro, a real-time, timeline based video editing software application. |

Computer Laboratory Computer-related workshops like Linux Training, Desktop Publishing, Multimedia Presentation and Web Design are held in the Computer Laboratory. The lab has 20 PC stations that can function as networked or stand-alone systems. |

Library CFA has a library, which also serves as an archive of all its publications as well as radio, TV and film productions and resources. There is also a selection of books and periodicals on the subject of communications. A photocopier is available for any copying needs. |

Auditorium The CFA Auditorium is the largest function room at CFA, with a room capacity of up to 150 persons. The Auditorium is fully air-conditioned. It is equipped with sound, lighting and projection systems. |

Conference Room The Conference Room is ideal for meetings, seminars and small forums. It has a capacity of up to 50 persons. |

Guest rooms and Dormitory Many of CFA’s workshops and seminars are live-in events. CFA has guest rooms and dormitory rooms to accommodate live-in participants. Guest rooms may either be single occupancy or double occupancy rooms. Dormitory rooms can accommodate 4-6 persons per room. All rooms are fully air-conditioned. Within walking distance are banks, drugstores, shopping malls, internet cafes and a church. |

Cafeteria The cafeteria, which is run by a concessionaire, serves both the employees of CFA and the participants when there is a seminar. It can seat as many as 80 diners. |

Chapel There is a chapel for prayer as well as for the celebration of the Eucharist. |

Recreation Area CFA has a recreation area for social gatherings. Its main feature is a small swimming pool. The recreation area is also a favorite site for parties, social events and family reunions. For inquiries, please call the Training Facilities office at 713 2972. |

Garden Area CFA’s garden area is adorned with green plants, trees and flowers. It has elevated and sunken portions which are also used for buffet gatherings and parties. |
