CFA successfully wraps up Crossroad of Transfiguring Communication Conferences

Communication Foundation for Asia concluded the three-part “Crossroad of Transfiguring Communication Conference” wherein a total of 141 Participants from Social Communication groups in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao engaged in the enhancing of their strategic communication.

Communication Foundation for Asia (CFA) highly saw the need to address the gaps in the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of Social Communication in the parishes and dioceses. With this, CFA organized a comprehensive three-part conference entitled “The Crossroad of Transfiguring Communication”. Catholic media groups and members of Social Communication from parishes and dioceses all over the country were invited to the said conference held at CFA Lagerway Hall, Sta. Mesa, Manila.



 

For the first batch of participants, CFA tapped priests, diocesan heads, and members of Social Communication groups from Luzon to be part of the conference on March 11-12. After such a successful start, young Soc Com members from the National Capital Region joined the second batch last May 16-17. Recently, clergymen representatives from Visayas and Mindanao attended the third and final leg of the conference conducted on June 3-4. In total, 141 participants seized the opportunity to improve The attendees learned about strategic communication planning from the discussions of experts and professionals in the field. For two days, they were immersed in workshops and interactive sessions to improve their skills in conceptualizing communication programs based on data analysis, implementing activities, measuring and evaluating its effects.

 

As the ultimate goal of the conference, participants are expected to redefine their understanding on their roles. Rather than solely disseminating information, Social communication ministries must be responsible for sparking change in people and the community.
