Deadline for Environment Contest Extended

Dec 14th 2012

The registration period for the Student Competition on the Best Environmental Project has been extended to January 10, 2013. This decision was made in view of the busy holiday and school exam period, as well as the continuing interest in the project.

Updated contest rules can be downloaded from the CFA website ( click here). Aside from the change in deadline, the rules also specify the email address that contest participants must use to submit their forms ( and adds a new alternative email address ( which can be used in case there are problems with the first address. Updated registration forms are also available for download from here.

The contest, which is sponsored by CFA and FPE (Foundation for the Philippine Environment), is open to all high school students from any public or private school in Metro Manila. The students can form a group and submit a scientifically-based and sustainable project that would address Climate Change issues in the country. The group must be endorsed by their school authorities.

Cash prizes, plaques and certificates await the winners of the contest. The competition ends on February 10, 2013, which is the deadline for the submission of final contest requirements and documentation. Judging and the announcement of winners will then follow.
