New Docu Features Pondo Stories From CFA TV Series

Jul 12th 2010

An overview of 24 stories of Pondo ng Pinoy projects and how they have helped the intended communities is featured in CFA’s latest documentary. Tentatively titled “The Fruits of Pondo ng Pinoy,“ the 54-minute video production combines clips from the CFA TV series “Tilamsik” with other video footage from many years of CFA’s documentation of the Pondo ng Pinoy program of the Archdiocese of Manila. The documentary specifically tackles the transformation that both beneficiaries and donors experience when they care and share with others in need.

The Executive Director of Pondo ng Pinoy Foundation, Mr. Ernie Lim, expressed appreciation for the way the documentary uplifts the spirit and inspires those who watch it. The PnP Foundation plans to distribute copies of the documentary together with selected episodes from the “Tilamsik” collection.

“Tilamsik” is the half-hour documentary series on Pondo beneficiaries, produced by CFA for broadcast on television. The series premiered in May on TV Maria, airing every Sunday at 7:00 PM with replays the following Saturday also at 7:00 PM. TV Maria is available on Dream Satellite and on Destiny Cable Channel 91.

CFA’s TV series features back-to-back stories of how Pondo ng Pinoy helps people, organizations and communities whose commitment is to uplift the life and dignity of the poor and marginalized. As the stories unfold, viewers see how Pondo ng Pinoy assistance has helped alleviate their living conditions and deepen their experience of faith.

Veteran movie and TV personality, Ms. Boots Anson-Roa hosts the 30-minute series. The documentaries were shot on location in Metro Manila and provinces as far north as Apayao and down south in Palawan.
