CFA CoffeeHouse Forum on Climate Change

Communication Foundation for Asia invites you to a forum on “Climate Change in Asia: Its Ethics, Spirituality and Challenges” with Fr. Sean McDonagh, SSC, MA, Ph.D., on 20 September 2007 at the CFA Auditorium in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

Fr. McDonagh is currently based at the Columban Fathers’ headquarters in Navan, Country Meath, Ireland. He has worked in the Philippines for 20 years, mostly with the T’bolis of Mindanao. He is the author of To Care for the Earth: A Call for A New Theology, The Greening of the Church and Climate Change: The Challenge To Us All, which came out in the Philippines in August 2007. In 2006, Fr. McDonagh became the first-ever recipient of a doctoral degree in Philosophy from the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC) of Ireland by a public examination of his 45-minute lecture on the development of his ecological theology, which he defended viva voce. He is also the co-founder of Lingkod Tao-Kalikasan, an organization advocating against genetically-modified organisms.
