Feb 17th 2016

A s part of the activities in line with the Philosophical week of the Oblates of St. Joseph (OSJ), the OSJ College of Philosophy held a Multimedia Symposium that aims to help seminarians widen and cultivate their skills in making a short philosophical film or video documentary on the different periods of the History of Philosophy. OSJ invited the Electronic Media Department (EMD) team of the Communication Foundation for Asia to be guests speakers during the activity.

Held last January 26, the EMD team imparted their expertise in the process of film making from story making, technical utility including camera perspective, lights and sound effects, editing and using transitions and other effects until post-processing. With it, the team put emphasis on having a clear storyline that the audience will be able to relate with. They stated that it’s important for the medium to be able to meet the needs of the chosen audience. The participants were able to apply what they learned through a group work wherein they were task to come up with a short story. There were sixty-eight college seminarians who were able to participate.

CFA will be holding another multimedia symposium workshop soon.
