In observance of Nutrition Month, CFA kicked off activities that would help promote health, nutrition, and environmental lifestyle through its talk with the young students of Manila Day Care Center. Leading the nutrition education and information is Fr. Filoteo Pelingon, MSC, who emphasized the importance of choosing food and drinks that are good for the health. For a nutritious diet, we must include a variety of healthful food from all of the food groups. Meanwhile, Fr. Benido Tumol, MSC, showcased a short video on how these kids can protect the air, water, and environment. To further educate both parents and children, Dr. Gelo Apostol also shared the "10 Kumainments" for shorter and simpler nutrition guidelines. For the finale, 10 children were chosen and awarded for having the best costumes made out of various fruits and vegetables.
